Elevating your strategic thinking through the use of foresight and futures thinking is a key skill of the 21st century. It's my mission to help purposeful organisations build these skills, so that they can succeed in the face of uncertainty and disruption.

Here's how I can help you:

My flagship offering is Scenario Planning:

In this style of engagement, I will spend time with you and your stakeholders to thoroughly analyse key trends which are impacting you. Then we will develop a number of narrative scenarios which help us understand how these trends come together, and what they might mean in the future. Finally, we analyse the impacts of these trends on your current or future strategies and use this information to inform further strategy formulation.

These projects are fun, engaging, and are an innovative way to be better prepared for the future.

Today's fast moving technology environment means that many organisations are not equipped to deal with such rapid change yet would benefit from taking advantage of what these technologies offer.

However, many of these technologies have significant privacy and ethical considerations that must be considered, even prior to a business case.

Through Constructive Disruption, I have extended the Constructive Technology Assessment (CTA) methodology used by government and academia, to develop a lightweight, policy-first, technology development framework. This ensures that important legal, regulatory and ethical concerns are designed-for from the beginning.

My experience as a Chief Information Officer for a leading not-for-profit means that I understand the challenges that arise from these initiatives, and how to overcome them.

A key component in ensuring success when working with strategic foresight and futures thinking, is to ensure that the organisation has a high level of integrative capacity. This is a measure of how well an organisation can ingest and adopt new information, such as new ways of doing things, or other innovations.

Even with a solid strategy, some organisations encounter the so-called "strategy/execution gap", which is often an indicator of a low integrative capacity rather than anything else.

To help organisations build this capability, I have designed a framework to help drive adoption of these skills, and also developed number of tools which complement each other by building different facets of this important skill.
